Austria COVID-19 Mobile Application
The Austrian Red Cross published the Stopp Corona app on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Health as the responsible authority of the Austrian Federal Government.
Stopp Corona helps citizens to keep track of encounters with friends, family or co-workers and save them anonymously. Should you contract the corona virus all your encounters of the last two days will be informed automatically and anonymously.
You too will be notified instantly and anonymously should one of your saved encounters report to have contracted the virus.
Stopp Corona app alerts
The app has two alert levels. A yellow alert shows that someone you have been in contact with has developed coronavirus symptoms. The red alert means that someone you have been in close contact with (less than two metres) for longer than 15 minutes has tested positive.
When the Stopp Corona app alerted, the app will give you advice on how to respond. Having received a yellow alert, it is advisable to cease contact with other people where possible and monitor your health. Following a red alert, the app will instruct you to self-isolate.
How does the Stopp Corona app prevent the spread?
As soon as you launch the app, it automatically connects to other users in your surroundings – even in power-saving mode. Data is encrypted before being exchanged, preventing both the app developers and other users from accessing your personal details. In the event of a COVID-19 infection, the app contacts all users that have been in proximity to the infected person for a longer period of time. The alerted users must then monitor their own health and maintain distance to others. This slows and stops the spread.

It will definitely be a while before we’ll actually shake each other’s hands again. Use Stopp Corona for digital handshake.
If you and the person you encounter have installed Stopp Corona the app will anonymously save your meeting. Should one of you fall sick with the corona virus the other will receive an instant notification.
Second. Self-check your corona status
 Answer the clinically proven questionnaire to check yourself for corona symptoms daily.
Third. Report suspected infections
Should your symptoms match those of a corona infection, you can choose to inform your encounters. This is extremely important so stop the virus from spreading. Everyone you saved in the last two days will get an anonymous notification. your personal data is safe.
If you suspect to have contracted the corona virus, please stay at home, and contact your attending physician via telephone. If that is not possible, call the Corona-Hotline.
Forth.Medical confirmation
If you are officially tested for the corona virus and your test comes back positive, please notify your encounters immediately. the notification will also be anonymous.
